- Meeting customers showing them products to suit their home and office needs. - Becoming knowledgeable about new technology in the store such as computers, computer accessories, printers, printer accessories, cameras, GPS systems, computer tablets, software (Microsoft office, virus protection and removal, etc.). - Assisting customers in the printing department with copies, faxes, ink refilling, business card printing and design, flier producing, etc. - Receiving and unloading of truck shipments, which consisted of usually about 5-6 pallets of supplies. - Stocking product (office desks, chairs, large printers). - Organizing new product displays. - Check-out and Cash handling. - Preparing the store for the busy back-to-school and holiday seasons. - Training new associates on various jobs throughout the store - Being friendly and outgoing. - Taking time to listen and assist customers to get them exactly what products they need.
- To act as a liaison between residents, University Housing, and other university agencies. - To organize the front desk area; with mail, packages, telephone calls - To assist with handing out keys, collecting keys, or making changes to keys - To be able to use the computer to send emails to residents - To act as liaison between Hall Manager and residents when there are maintenance requests - To cover the desk for specified shift to help answer or assist with residents
